Sisters inside Crime is an organization that has 3,600 members within 48 chapters globe-wide, offering networking, advice & trend lines to mystery authors. Members come authors, readers, publishers, agencies, booksellers & bibliothec attached by their philia for the mystery genre & their trend lines of women world health organization write mysteries. Sisters inside Crime was founded by Sara Paretsky and a class action of women at a 1986 Bouchercon in Baltimore.

A Sisters within Crime mission statement:

"To combat discrimination against women in the mystery field, educate publishers and the general public as to inequities in the treatment of female authors, raise the level of awareness of their contributions to the field, and promote the professional advancement of women who write mysteries."
